85 years young Alice Fuller is a long time Wyoming resident and an amazing painter. Her work is the prized possession in many homes around her hometown, but until now, she's never had any type of recognition on a national level.

Alice paints for joy, not money, she says. She paints from memory. When asked how she paints so accurately without using photos, she replies, "I've spent 85 years looking." She's been a ranch girl her entire life and through the busy years when she didn't have time to paint her masterpieces, she practiced mixing colors.

In the 60's, she picked up a book written by Richard Schmid that taught her the importance of color. She began mixing color charts every evening at dinner, while she kept it warm waiting for the ranchers to return home for the evening. She could see them coming, she says, and it gave her just enough time to pop the biscuits in the oven and clean up the paint.

Alice now paints as often as she feels up to it. She is a kind and intelligent woman with wisdom and generosity, spit-fire and wit. She is a joy to know and her art is simply mastery.
